Cooperative IoT Systems Deakin Testbed

The Deakin part of the IoT testbed is a collection of service robots in different form factors, including networked telepresence robots. This forms a collection of eighteen robots which the Deakin testbed aims to connect up within a dashboard, forming an Internet of Robotic Things testbed, which is remotely controllable. They reside in and roam around  the School of IT floor areas at Deakin.

The research involves exploring cooperative robotic/IoT applications involving robots as mobile sensors/actuators, co-located collective telepresence via robots, and intelligent edge/cloud data processing using off-the-shelf robotic systems, and how such robot collectives can work together with each other, with humans (devices such as wearables and smartphones) and with IoT devices (how they can be augmented with IoT devices in the infrastructure).
